Audio Engineering BSc
Audio for multimedia for the second year degree course consisted of selecting a 30 second clip from the movie Wall-e, stripping the clip of all audio, and then replacing the audio in our own image while still holding true to the theme and feel of the movie with between 15-20 sound samples.

The project also consisted of creating a sound bank of 80-100 sound samples that could be used within the film as a whole, rather than the 30 seconds video. This sound bank had to be organised and categorised to a professional level. these sound clips had to be topped and tailed and set at the same volume, or as close as possible.

This was the spot sheet i initially worked n, however as the project expanded more and more was added to this
This sound effect was recorded using an electric razor, the reason for recording this is to simulate the sound that the robot Mo uses in cleaning floors with his hands
This sound effect is used in the short 30 second clip, it depicts the robot banging on the door to get inside and was recorded using a leather mallet and hitting a full coal bin multiple times which resulted in low thuds
This effect was recorded with a deodorant canister being used at the side of the hand held recorder, this is to simulate a fire extinguisher sound as it ejects its contents at speed
This sound effect is a refined version of the one above, the canister was spun in a circular motion to give the interesting effect to it, this is because in the scene of the movie wall-e is spinning around blasting a fire extinguisher
