An introduction and Biography
My name is Michael Soutar, born September 1995 and a promising sound Engineer. I have had a love of music for as far back as I can remember, and alongside being a musician myself, I have a lot of admiration and understanding for other artists, as well as their craft.
Growing up, I was naturally drawn to technology, I developed a love for video games and an intrigue towards electronics. I fell very quickly in love with the soundtracks and music from video games. I’ve always had this dream of having my name in the credits of one. This passion drew me to my decision to try my hand at sound engineering at the UHI.
It has almost been a full academic year since I took my first steps towards following my dream. I have learnt so much, built up skills I never thought possible and I have loved every second of it. I can honestly say I have never felt more at home in a field, than I have whilst attending this course. I have made this site to serve as my online portfolio, as well as give information on what I have learnt in this past academical year. This will include audio mixes and video content, as well as details of the knowledge I have learned.
In time, as I go further into my education and Sound Engineering career, my portfolio and the information on this site, will be updated and expanded upon.
